The bell of peace is not fully appreciated by the government

Brian Haw rings the bell of peace to punctuate his passionate speech about the suffering created by war. Brian uses this bell quite a lot during this period of his peace campaign. However the sound of the bell of peace is not fully appreciated by the government. In fact during Parliamentary debates some Members of Parliament actually feel the sound is distracting. On the other hand Brian Haw feels the Iraqi civilians found being bombed distracting. The Police some days later confiscate the ringer inside the bell. Parliament Square, London, 14th of May 2006
