Kathleen Jamie

Kathleen Jamie poet was born in Renfrewshire, Scotland in 1962. She studied philosophy at Edinburgh University. She has published four collections of poetry including the Forward Prize-winning The Tree House, (Picador 2004). As well as poetry, Kathleen Jamie writes for radio, particularly travel-scripts, and specially commissioned long poems. In 1999 she was appointed Lecturer in Creative Writing at St Andrews University. She lives in Fife. Kathleen Jamie’s book of poetry The Tree House, published by Picador, was short-listed for the T S Eliot Prize 2004. 16th January 2005, Bloomsbury Theatre, Gordon Street, London
