Afghanistan women lead march

Eminent women from Islamic Republic of Afghanistan are invited to take over the lead of the International Women's Day march, The Afghanistan leaders include: E Ershad, Asila Wardak Jamal (Director Human Rights & Women's International Affairs Ministry Of Foreign Affairs), Shinkai Zahine Karokhail (Member of the Afghan National Assembly Wolesi Jirga) and Habiba Sarabi (Bamyan Governor). 'Join me on the Bridge 2011', a global campaign to support woman in Afghanistan, including a call for Afghan women to sit as equals at peace table to determine Afghanistan's future. The events also worldwide on the same day marks the 100th anniversary of, International Women's Day (IWD). Women for Women UK join in a coalition including, Women for Women, International Soroptimists, Women's Institute (WI), National Union of Students, Amnesty International, Fawcett Society, Oxfam, Women's Aid, CARE, Save the Children, White Ribbon Alliance, and others.
