Jane Birkin sings Serge Gainsbourg Via Japan. The concert reappraises the back catalogue of the late French poet / singer songwriter Gainsbourg's repertoire, performed by his former lover and partner Jane Birkin. The band she formed of Japanese musicians when she was performing in Japan in aid of the tragic earthquake and nuclear disaster in 2011. Band member include Hoshiko Yamane - violin; Nobuyuki Nakajima - piano & musical direction; Jane Birkin - vocals; Takuma Sakamoto - trumpet & valve trombone; Ichiro Onoe - drums.
