John Halas OBE (1912–1995) animation film producer at his office in the Halas and Batchelor Animation, Studio at 3 Kean Street, Covent Garden, the company he co-founded with his wife Joy Batchelor. John Halas produced “Animal Farm” in 1954 the first British animated feature film released worldwide, based on the George Orwell book.
