Mule deer, Odocoileus hemionus

Mule deer (Odocoileus hemionus) foraging in the photographers garden in Glendale, when he was based in Los Angeles, working for Warner Bros Feature Animation in the camera department. The mule deer takes its name from its long mule like ears. The mule deer is normally very shy of man but at the end of summer when the food is less plentiful mule deer some times get emboldened chancing getting closer to man’s habitat while foraging.
