Post Script:
I first met the artist Paul Shardlow in London in the 70ties when he arrived with some animation camerawork for me and additionally some wry remarks. The work we were doing was for the producer John Halas on that occasion. When he moved to Los Angeles it was no surprise that his high level of artistic ability would be in demand. However what was not so clear, to me, was whether his English cynicism would be an export to many, especially when I noticed as Paul Shardlow was making some of his reflections about America, an American friend looking like the 'The Incredible Hulk' just before he bursts out. But I was wrong to be so concerned and his English cynicism survived the location change intact. RKW
