St Pancras Station

Festivus the film animation social event arranged by Rob Doherty, was in a different pub than usual this time. The Betjeman Arms, St Pancras International Station. In this picture the Betjeman Arms pub is at the end of this Victorian Gothic revival building St Pancras Chambers, under the clock tower. It was fun talking with the brand new animation community and with the Eurostar trains nearby ready to go to France. It's in a unexpectedly serene location, between the nearby all hectic crowds and passengers floors below and the pub set on the St. Pancras Station Forecourt, right next to and above one of London's busy roads, Euston Road. St Pancras International Station, south frontside, St Pancras, London, GB, 9th May 2022

PS: The pub's is named in honour John Betjeman English poet and railway aficionado who led a protest to save St. Pancras Station and St. Pancras Chambers from demolition in the 1960's. Also a station statue honours the poet.
