Arrested hero

An 81 year-old lady was arrested by the Police during anti genocide protests in Parliament Square with a 'Palestine Action' theme and a separate protest in nearby Whitehall with a different approach to peace campaigning. She was possibly perceived as supporting ‘Palestine Action’! She was not the only one to be arrested, over another 500 others we, were also arrested over the day mainly from Parliament Square. The main placard message displayed that was causing arrest was “Oppose Genocide I support Palestine Action”. 9 Aug 2025

The confusion has perhaps been caused when the ‘Palestine Action’ organisation in July was wrongly proscribed under the Terrorism Act! Because clearly they are not terrorists in the common use of the word ‘terrorist’ as is understood in the English language by the layperson. The politicians might be confusing, causing embarrassment and nuisance to themselves, the establishment and services, as apposed to violence and danger to the public!

Seeing the police arrest an 81 year old lady does not look good and in a short time many people tried to come and save her. I cannot help thinking that it would perhaps be easier for the police to arrest the most violent criminals than a little old lady in England. When I say little I should add little physically, but bigger in courage and integrity, than the very senior people that are complicit in genocide. If the police are looking for violent criminals they could take a look in Downing Street!
