Terracotta sculpture above the front door. This building was once the Royal Doulton pottery headquarters. In this architectural feature - tympanum relief: from left, Hannah Bolton Barlow (1851-1916) female artist known for her sgraffito animal designs, with her cat under her seat, next a visitor and perhaps a buyer, then almost up to the centre is George Tinworth, (1843-1913) the artist who made this fine piece, another employee passing in the background, Henry Dolton (1820 – 1897) seated, the pottery manufacturer the proprietor so this is his studio, and on the right another prospective buyer.
