Bruce Kent

Bruce Kent (1929 - 2022), veteran peace campaigner from Pax Christi, joins the London Guantánamo Campaign, outside the US Embassy in Grosvenor Square, on the Seventh Anniversary of the Opening of the Guantanamo Bay illegal prison camp. Bruce Kent talks against the injustices of Guantanamo and Belmarsh prison, dubbed Britain’s Guantanamo. Kent talks about the sad loss of many hard won liberties and legal rights in the last few years, the presumption of innocence until proven guilty, the right to a fair trial, even the right to know what one is being arrested for, under the pretext of the ‘war on terror’. Pax Christi, is an international Christian peacemaking movement, based on the gospel and open to members of all faiths. American Embassy, Grosvenor Square, Mayfair, London, UK, 11 January 2009
